On Poetry: Delicate Ideas
Delicate Ideas
The best thing to do is walk forward,
tiny steps not gigantic great leaps.
The net will always appear my love
but pressure makes the muse weep.
Be careful who you share nascent work with,
the wrong person can quash an idea.
Choose gentle, calm and loving friends
ones who understand bittersweet fear.
The heroine’s journey’s a circle
you will travel forever more
now connect with your divine feminine:
find your rituals, dance on the floor.
Light a candle, say a prayer,
lay out a snack, some beautiful cloth:
soon the idea will alight my dear
delicate as a hummingbird moth.
Stay in the loop!
